We are excited to share some big news with our LPG family! Please join us in congratulating Kelsie Roberts on her new role as a Nurse Practitioner at Lincoln Pediatric Group! Many of you may already know Kelsie, as she joined LPG in 2022 as a registered nurse with Dr. Wineinger and has been an important part of our team ever since. We are so excited to now have the opportunity to see her continue to grow in her career and care for our patients in this new role. Kelsie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Nebraska Wesleyan University before spending 2.5 years working in the NICU. She then joined Lincoln Pediatric Group as Dr. Wineinger's nurse while continuing her education and earning her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Kelsie's passion for working with children and building trusting relationships with patients and their families makes this a natural next step for her. As a mom herself, she also brings a personal understanding of the joys and challenges that come with caring for kids. Outside of work, Kelsie and her husband, Nick, stay busy with their three children Brooks, Lane and Briar. Their family lives on an acreage, and Kelsie enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. We are so proud of Kelsie and all the work she has put into reaching this next step in her career. We can't wait for our patients and families to get to know her in her new role!

Measles often begins with fever (over 101), cough, runny nose, and red eyes. After a few days of fever, a rash may appear, usually starting on the face and spreading downward. Under routine circumstances, the MMR vaccine is recommended at 12 months, with a second dose given starting at 4 years of age. If local measles activity increases, we will share any updated guidance in coordination with the local health department. If you’re concerned your child may have symptoms consistent with measles or has had a known exposure, please call our office. This allows our team to thoughtfully triage your child’s visit and help limit potential exposure to others.
