Dr. Amanda Knapp has been with Lincoln Pediatric Group since 2018. She is originally from McCook, NE and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln where she graduated from the Honors Program. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2010 and completed pediatric residency at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO in 2013. She is board certified in Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Following residency, Dr. Knapp was a physician in the Emergency Department and an Associate Professor at Children's Mercy in Overland Park, KS. During that time she was an active member on the Quality Improvement committee and continues to enjoy focusing on improving the quality of care for children.
Dr. Knapp is married to Ryan and has three young daughters who keep her on her toes and continue to make her a better pediatrician. She has two dogs, two cats, a dozen or so fish, and an animal-loving family. She enjoys spending time with her family, camping, KC BBQ, Chiefs football and working on her flower farming hobby.
Dr. Knapp has a care philosophy that focuses on shared decision making with patients and their families, and takes time to make sure all questions are answered and families are comfortable with treatment plans proposed. Her favorite part about being a pediatrician is forming and nurturing relationships with patients and their families, and she treats all of her patients with love and care as if they were her own children.
