Dr. Schmitz grew up in Lincoln with all sisters and now her and her husband have a house full of 4 boys.
When she has some alone time, she enjoys running, reading, sports, nature, and trying to keep her flowers and plants thriving.
 
Erin attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, graduating summa cum laude and as a NCAA Women’s Soccer National Champion. She attended medical school and residency at UNMC and received the Resident Clerkship Teaching Award.
 
As a pediatrician and mother, Erin understands how every age brings different joys and concerns and how every child is unique.
