Dr. Shelley Nelson joined Lincoln Pediatric Group in 2016. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with high distinction from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Dr. Nelson received her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2011. She completed her pediatric residency at Indiana University with Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis in 2014, and then spent two years as a Newborn Hospitalist in Indianapolis, Indiana working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and newborn nurseries. Dr Nelson is board certified thru the American Academy of Pediatrics.
She is a Lincoln native and was thrilled to move back to Nebraska to be closer to her family! She lives with her husband, Ben, and four daughters (Lilah, Adeline, Eloise and Georgia) and enjoys reading, hiking, tennis, history, travelling, and watching IndyCar.
